Don Graham, founder and broker of Capital Concepts Mortgages and California Servicing Brokerage for Open Source, started his career in banking after earning a bachelors degree in finance and economics at Chico State University. Following a successful banking career Don launched Capital Concepts in 1986 and was recently positioned to facilitate brokerage loans for OPEN SOURCE database users in the state of California. Don founded Capital Concepts because he realized he could easily and measurably save consumers more money on their mortgages. Noting "many organizations charge too many fees and earn a higher commission,which directly results in offering higher interest rates to consumers. In 29 years of service I have not seen the industry lower their costs, this is the primary reasons I am able to continue offering the lowest total mortgage costs and interest rates to my clients".
Don was born and raised in Woodside, California. At just 13 years of age Don became the only male in his household with his mother and three sisters, prompting him to embrace odd jobs and quickly learn about: earning, saving and spending, and what financial pressure felt like. Don extends his deep rooted passion to help others rise above financial challenges by helping his clients make wiser decisions throughout their varied mortgage cycles.
Don's vast experience and deep ability to understand his clients may be due to the many hats he's worn, some of which include: locating and negotiating his first home purchase, to multiple purchases in fixer's serving as long term rentals or quick sales, building a spec home from the ground up, working with cities and counties to achieve lot splits, building permits and zone changes as well as working with green-organizations, and acting as lead council for multiple large scale mortgage financial projects. Simply put, Don has earned the reputation as the go-to-guy for many California mortgage consumers and investors throughout the State.
